Carol Bennett Memorial Scholarship
The 2024 Carol Bennett Memorial Scholarship is worth at least $1,500. An additional award may be given should the funds be available and an additional, qualifying applicant is found. Ludington Writers is encouraging local graduating high school seniors to apply. Applications, including a writing sample, are due April 1.
George Dila Sponsorship
The George Dila Memorial Sponsorship is available to one active LW member for the workshop/rally/gathering of the applicant's choice. Active members must have attended at least one LW meeting in the previous calendar year. The 2024 sponsorship is limited to actual expenses associated with the event up to a maximum of $500.00 to be used in the 2024 calendar year.

Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Ludington Writers occasionally hosts workshops and retreats. Workshops are run by published authors from outside of the Ludington area. Special consideration for the residencies are given to graduate students finishing a degree in creative writing. During this short summer residency, authors typically lead a workshop (requiring registration) and formal presentation (open to the public).
