BEACH COMBINGS
Homer had from other writers in the 8th century BC(aka BCE) is unknown. However, I think he would be impressed with a certain group of contemporary American writers. They have been meeting twice monthly to critique each other’s works for most of the 21st century AD (aka CE).
Just look at the photo “Collage of Writers” hanging in their meeting room. Like the ancient epic poems, you’ll be drawn into Ludington Writers’ prose and poetry pieces which reveal an eclectic cast of characters navigating life in different places and eras. Without revealing anyone’s identity, I’ll introduce you to the chorus of writers by some of the slogans pasted across the bottom of the collage.
BEACH COMBINGS
We gather around a coffee table, sitting in well-worn chairs, to read what we’ve written. Mostly we laugh. Sometimes we are solemn. But we always offer our best advice regarding each other’s poems, prose, or graphics novels.
